Terms & Conditions

Delivery & Packing

We deliver to all of New Zealand.

Each gift is packed with care and labelled clearly with your given recipients name and address. To help the couriers deliver on time and to the correct recipient it helps if you provide us with the recipients:

  • Full name.
  • Full postal address. Please ensure all address details are entered correctly. Any delivery problems and re-directions arising from incorrect address information will have to be charged for.
    • Company Buildings, please advise the building level number and any helpful delivery instructions for example “Please leave at reception”.
    • For Hospitals, please advise the room & ward number, the hospital level number, hospitals full postal address. It’s best to check that the recipient/patient will have been admitted or will not have been discharged on the delivery date that you request. If the courier tries to deliver the gift and the recipient is not in the hospital then a redirection charge will apply.
    • For Apartments/Gated properties please ensure that the recipient will be home to accept the gift as couriers are generally unable to access apartments so rely on calling the intercom and someone being home. If the courier is unable to deliver to the apartment then a redirection charge will apply.

Delivery Charges:

  • Auckland Metropolitan $10
  • North Island $15
  • South Island $25
  • Saturday delivery extra $5
  • Rural Delivery No extra charge

Delivery Days:

Please know that we will do all we can to have your gift delivered on the day you request but because of courier loads / locations / weather conditions we cannot guarantee delivery days and times. As a guideline:
Same day delivery for Auckland metropolitan area for orders processed before 9am.

Next day delivery for outside Auckland metropolitan area & North Island for orders processed before 1pm.

Two / three working days delivery for South Island orders processed before 1pm.
Rural delivery addresses generally take an extra two / four working days depending on location.

Main centres delivery days Monday – Saturday. Excluding public holidays. Please note that not all areas have a Saturday courier so please contact us to confirm your delivery address is one with a Saturday Courier.

Rural addresses delivery Monday – Friday. Excluding public holidays.

Saturday delivery - when order is processed and the extra $5 processed.Cut off time for Saturday Auckland Delivery is Friday 12pm. Please note that not all areas of New Zealand have a courier that works on a Saturday. For all orders requiring a Saturday Delivery please contact us first so that we can confirm that there is a Courier who works on a Saturday for the delivery address.

Track & Trace:

All Orders placed will receive a Notification email as well as a Parcel Tracking number so that you can track your Parcel from Despatch to Delivery.

Urgent Sprint Courier:

Please contact us so that we can help with urgent deliveries.

Payment security

Batenburgs provides a 100% secure payment system. All payments are processed by DPS Payment solutions.

We DO NOT store your credit card details.

We will never sell, rent or exchange your personal information with any third parties for any reason.

Returns, Cancellation & Damages Policy

We do not provide a refund if you have changed your mind, so please choose carefully.

If goods are proven faulty, we will provide a replacement for the faulty item free of charge under the Consumer guarantees Act. In the unlikely event of damaged goods the Purchaser should contact Batenburgs within 3 days of receipt of the Goods.

You can cancel your order up to two working days for Auckland Metropolitan, Three working days for North Island and Five working days for South Island, before the requested delivery date. After this we may have already dispatched your gift. This however excludes orders over $300 due to the earlier preparation involved in larger orders. It also excludes gifts that have been customized or made especially to meet specific requests.

Cakes & Bakery Gifts

As our products are handcrafted, products may differ slightly from photo. 


Batenburgs has been granted a Liquor License to sell alcohol which we take very seriously.
When ordering a gift containing alcohol you declare that you are over 18 years of age. No persons under the age of 18 years of age may place an order or receive gifts from Batenburgs if the gift contains alcohol.


While we always do our best to keep our images and descriptions as accurate as possible, Batenburgs reserves the right to substitute and items in the gifts for items of equal or greater value if those listed in the descriptions are out of stock or unavailable at the time of ordering. Glasses, utensils, fruit and other props shown in images are not included in the gift unless specifically listed in the contents.

Force majeure

At Batenburgs we will do all we can to meet the requested delivery dates. At Batenburgs, however, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage due to delays or failure to deliver resulting from any circumstance beyond our reasonable control such as, but not limited to, failure or delays in transportation, forces of nature.
