The traditional art of the copper is still relied upon to provide quality casks for the successful maturing of Bell’s Scotch Whisky.

Selecting from the finest air-dried oak, he cuts, shapes and steams the staves before drawing them together to form the classic cask. This is then “fired” on the inside over burning oak shavings, prior to receiving the colourless young spirit.

In the ensuing years, the process of maturation takes place. By “breathing “ through this noblest of woods, the spirit acquires its distinctive flavour and rich golden colour for which Bell’s is renowned.
